There is a growing demand for thermal management of components, devices and systems in established and emerging areas such as electronics, LED lighting and battery technology/e-powertrain. But drawbacks and limitations with traditional metal heat sinks, housings and covers are driving the need for alternative materials offering new design advantages.
Which is where Konduct conductive technology comes in. Incorporating Konduct into your formulations enables you to create thermally conductive plastics for moulding and extrusion applications. Designed and utilised correctly, these plastics offer comparative or enhanced thermal performance, plus all the other advantages of plastics too.
Polymers are typically classed as electrically insulating materials and are often used for insulation applications in electrical devices. But there are many applications which call for the benefits of polymers over, for example, metals (low weight, no corrosion etc) whilst also requiring specific levels of electrical conductivity.
Konduct technology enables you to formulate electrically conductive polymers, which in turn allows you to take advantage of market opportunities. There are several methods available, so our experts will work with you to achieve the right degree of electrical conductivity for each individual application.
We thrive on challenges and are proud of our reputation as a company that can succeed where others have failed. Whether you have a new application or need help with an existing product, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Radical Materials are presently working on a project aimed at developing performance polymer compounds to provide EMI/RFI shielding solutions in moulding/extrusion applications. This project is being undertaken with financial support from the ERDF via the SMARTCymru 2014-2020 West Wales and the Valleys Operational Programme.
